Finance Support

We are looking for a permanent finance assistant - 37.5 hours per week to join our growing agency.

Reporting to both the FD and MD in an independent creative agency with 25 members of staff in an open plan, vibrant office in the heart of Bristol next to Temple Meads station. We offer a stimulating, challenging but relaxed atmosphere to work in.

The right candidate will be expected to:

  • Assist in preparation of monthly management reports, accounts and forecasts
  • Reporting to FD and MD on sales and costs analysis, job costing
  • SAGE Line 50 experience
  • Purchase Ledger- Recording of invoices in Synergist job costing system, supplier statement reconciliations
  • Sales ledger- credit control
  • Nominal ledger-quarterly depreciation, accruals and prepayments
  • Credit Cards and Petty Cash reconciliations
  • Checking and processing Out of Pocket Expense claims for payment
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Monthly EU sales VAT returns Overseas sales/foreign currency transactions
  • Payroll admin - posting payroll journals and payments, dealing with benefits (childcare vouchers, healthcare insurance)
  • Travel/Office costs ordering
  • G Sheets/Excel intermediate - Pivot Tables, V lookup - as these are used extensively in analytics and reporting

Person specification

  • Proactive and motivated
  • Has excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Is highly organised and posses excellent attention to detail

Junior Designer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented junior designer with a minimum of 1 years agency experience to join our busy Bristol-based studio. You must be fully proficient in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and have the motivation and confidence to strive towards a middleweight position. 

The successful applicant will predominantly be working as part of a team that focuses on food packaging, POS and associated collateral for a large client that provides product and design solutions for major supermarkets and convenience stores throughout the UK and Europe. This includes both supermarkets own-branded foods as well as their own unique brands.

Current experience within packaging is obviously an advantage but not essential. However being a fast-pased and sometimes technically challenging role the applicant must be organised and have the aptitude to quickly develop new skills as required. Our design team will often take projects from conception through to press-ready artwork so an understanding of artworking is also key.

Halo Media is a full service agency with a wealth of experience across various sectors including food packaging and agriculture, the entertainment industry, public sector, FMCG and everything inbetween. We will put our hands to anything that is thrown at us and we are looking for a candidate that will do the same. We work across all formats including print, digital, web, TV and video. Drupal Developer

Halo are looking for a permanent Drupal developer to join the team. We’re after someone with at least 3 years experience, ideally from an agency background. 

We work on a broad range of brand-focussed projects, from startups and challenger brands to household names and some of the world’s biggest entertainment and festival sites where performance is crucial.

This is primarily a Drupal development role, focused on CMS setup, configuration, bespoke module development and third-party API integrations. Some front-end/site build experience is essential, though will not be the primary focus.

This position will be working as part of our dev team, alongside designers, UX’ers and the accounts teams, so will be in the thick of the creative process. You’ll be involved from the initial requirements gathering/specification stages through to project delivery and ongoing support. You’ll need to be a good communicator, able to estimate accurately and identify risks early on. You’ll be a natural problem solver and pragmatist. Above all else you’ll be keen to learn and expand your current skill set, mentoring more junior members and using your own initiative to find better ways of working and to improve our products.
