Maxell (part of Hitachi Europe) are a technology giant best known for tech components, batteries, video & audiocassettes (if you’re a child of the 80’s). When they wanted to create a category defining beauty product, they came to Halo.
Maxell created a range of electrical beauty products that harness natural Ions for the ultimate in skin cleansing technology. Halo were appointed to develop a brand that would capture the essence of the product imposed through packaging, POS, advertising and across digital channels.
We started with the name ‘Yoso’ (Japanese for ‘natural elements’) and built from there. The design is contemporary with a gentle modernity imbued with soothing soft pastels and effortless curves, delivering an approachable brand that’s at home on the fixtures of mainstream retail.
An expansive, detailed project, Halo continue to work closely with Maxell on Yoso alongside ranges from their traditional product portfolio in consumer tech.
